The easiest ways to reach Palanga are to fly in or to come by bus or car. You cannot come all the way by train: there is no railway in the resort, and the nearest stations are in Kretinga and Klaipėda.
This guide covers how long it takes to reach the Prie Parko hotel (S. Dariaus ir S. Girėno g. 11) from the airport and the bus station, how to drive here and where to leave the car, especially in summer, when parking in the town centre is paid.

How do I fly to Palanga?
Palanga International Airport (PLQ, Liepojos pl. 1) is just 7 km north of the hotel. The drive from the airport takes about 10–15 minutes. Destinations and timetables change from season to season, so check the current flights on the airport’s website, palanga-airport.lt.
If there is no direct flight to Palanga, one of these airports will do:
- Riga, about 260 km by car. Lux Express buses between Palanga and Riga stop on Zolitūdes iela near Riga Airport, and city bus No. 22 runs from there to the terminal.
- Vilnius, about 330 km. Direct buses run from Vilnius bus station to Palanga; the journey takes about five hours, and some services go via Klaipėda.
- Kaunas, about 240 km. Direct buses to Palanga also run from Kaunas.
How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
The quickest way is a taxi from the rank outside the terminal. We can also arrange a transfer for an additional fee: book it in advance and give us your flight number and arrival time.
By public transport, two routes link the airport with the town: No. 3 (Palanga – Airport – Šventoji) and No. 31 (Klaipėda – Palanga – Airport). Tickets can be bought from the driver in cash or by bank card. Timetables are published on stops.lt; route 31 is timed around the flights, so its timetable changes more often than the others.
How do I get here by bus?
Palanga bus station (Klaipėdos pl. 42) handles intercity and international buses from Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and Riga. Route 31 also runs from Klaipėda; the trip takes about half an hour, longer at the height of summer. The station waiting room is open daily 7.00–20.00.
From the station to the hotel is 1.4 km, about 18 minutes on foot. With luggage a taxi is easier: the ride takes only a few minutes.
Can I get to Palanga by train?
Not directly: Palanga has no railway. LTG Link trains from Vilnius to Klaipėda run via Šiauliai and stop at Kretinga on the way. That is the nearest station, 11.8 km from the hotel and about 15 minutes by car.
If you travel on to Klaipėda, changing is easy: the railway and bus stations there are only about 200 metres apart, and route 31 and intercity buses run from the bus station to Palanga. Train timetables and tickets are on ltglink.lt.
How do I get here by car?
From Vilnius (about 330 km) and Kaunas (about 240 km), take the A1 motorway to Klaipėda, then the A13 north; from Klaipėda it is about 23 km to the hotel. From the Šiauliai direction the A11 leads to Palanga. From Riga it is about 260 km.
In your navigation app, enter the hotel’s address: “S. Dariaus ir S. Girėno g. 11, Palanga”. Follow the traffic arrangements in force at the time.
Where can I leave the car?
The hotel has a private car park in its courtyard, €20 per day. Spaces cannot be reserved in advance, so it is worth asking at reception as soon as you arrive. There is no lift at the hotel, so if you are arriving with a lot of luggage, the easiest choices are the two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor or the cottage, which you enter straight from the car park.
From 15 May to 15 September, the town’s paid parking zones charge every day 7.00–24.00. There are three zones: green, red and yellow. Off-season, payment applies on some central streets and car parks. Before leaving your car, check the local signs for the payment hours and rate.
You can pay at a parking meter, by text message or with the uniPark, Flowbird, carOne and ParkMan apps. Current rates and a zone map are published by Palanga’s public order and fees service: palangosvtrt.lt.
